Is your brand or agency managing social media responsibly?

Responsible, in the casual social environment, does not mean straight-laced. It means acting within the legal boundaries of the platforms in which you play (and yes, they exist) and charting a strategic, integrated, measurable and protected course for your brand.

Developed by The Online Circle's strategy specialists -- Lucio Ribeiro, Jeff Richardson and Alan Long -- The Social Sessions are designed for leading corporate brands to establish social strategy, set meaningful metrics, develop actionable insights, increase engagement, avert crisis, involve staff, and maximise ROI.

Session 1: Social Media for Brands
23rd February, 2012 (Thursday)

The Blackman Hotel, Melbourne
8:15am to 1:00pm

Our specialists will step you through the current state of the social media environment and requirements for researching community activity and brand presence. They'll then outline the key considerations for developing an effective and appropriate strategy.

After morning tea, Diti Jones (Kraft Foods) will provide insights into internal management. TOC specialists will then highlight benchmarks for executing social media strategy with real meaning. 'The Top 10 Social Media Legal Issues' will then be presented by Kelly Hazell Quill Lawyers' David Kelly, followed by a risk management session. The day will be rounded up with an expert panel Q&A session.

Session 2: Facebook for Brands
28th February, 2012 (Tuesday)

The Blackman Hotel, Melbourne
8:15am to 1:00pm

So you've got 10,000 likes? Sorry, but that's not actually a big deal anymore. TOC specialists will give you first hand insights into the most effective strategies for community growth, engagement, loyalty, retention, brand awareness & integration, and detractor management.

With input from Kraft Foods and legal representatives, they'll also bring the key issues for internal management and legal pitfalls of having a Facebook presence.  Analytics and benchmarking for ROI, keeping on top of Facebook innovations, and 15 Key Things You Should be Doing Now, will lead into an expert panel Q&A session to close.
